Good Chinese food. Parking on the road there is a dedicated lot nearby. Ambiance is good but there is typical musky smell not overpowering. Food portions are big so order carefully. BBQ steak was super, sesame chicken was too sweet and broccoli too big. Chicken fried rice, kungpoa shrimp were delicious. Steamed dumplings was very dry not great. Overall a good Chinese restaurant in downtown Long Beach

I stopped by Chen’s Chinese Restaurant for their lunch special, and it did not disappoint. The meal came with egg drop soup, an egg roll, steamed rice, and sweet and sour chicken — a great combination and definitely worth the price. The sweet and sour chicken was the standout of the meal. Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, and coated in a delicious sauce that wasn’t too heavy or too sweet. It’s easily one of the best versions I’ve had in a long time. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly, and their customer service made the experience even better.

General Tso and Dumplings are good, average at worst. The orange chicken and rice is fantastic and the honey walnut shrimp is fried. I definitely do not prefer it fried but if that’s your thing it’s pretty good. Staff is super friendly, restraint is clean and quiet, large with a lot of seating.

Faaaaantastic Authentic Asian Cuisine at a great price in one of the best places in America yet another Long Beach gem adding to the reasons I travel from Inglewood to come here I will be returning to this wonderful place

We have been divining here since 2004 and bring all our friends. And then they bring all their friends. The food is superb especially the spicy dishes and aromatic shrimp or fish. We drive from either San Pedro or Santa Monica to come here We highly recommend channels. Also, it is quiet enough most of the time so that you can have a conversation while you dine. I it is not one of those noisy, noisy restaurants.

Great Chen’s Chinese Restaurant to come and celebrate your anniversary with wife and family. Great place,been coming here for the last 20 years! The soup is the bomb and the rice and noodles. Pork chops are great.

I had Chen's for the first time at an event I went to. It was delicious. I drove from the OC to get myself some more and it didn't disappoint. I had the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Garlic noodles, Chow fun, Egg rolls, Won tons and Sautéed green beans. This place has been around forever and has lots of history. If you're looking for good Chinese food in LB check them out.
